I’ve always believed that skills are the real differentiator. Skills are what help you level up and move forward in life. I strive to always be working on a specific skill at any given time.
If you have learned finance, you know that money grows when it’s compounded. The same principle applies to skills: compounding skills gives you the highest ROI in terms of money, time, mental health, physical health, social health, and overall quality of life. When you stack one skill on top of another, each one amplifies the other.
For me, the meaning of the quote “invest in yourself” is simple — gain skills, knowledge, and experience.
Alex Hormozi explains this in detail in his video.

I implemented this by creating a concept I call Areas of Expertise (maybe it already exists, maybe I made it up).
Here’s how I’ve built mine so far:
- Tech
- Personal Finance
- Physical Health
- Mental Health & Mindset (Work in Progress)
